cplkittle on 12/25/2006 11:41:56I can't remember exactly how to do it, but it is a little more than just the parking brake wire. The N3 is navigation and it knows (sat tracking, and if it was installed properly, the speed pulse wire) when the vehicle is moving. Even if you sucessfully bypass the parking brake or what not, the video will still cut off once you reach 15 mph.
Ash on 12/25/2006 12:06:03That is not designed to work like that as a safety net. Plus in certain areas if not all, it is illegal for that reason. The only people that are really allowed to view the tv/monitor while the vehicle is in motion are the passengers, not the driver.
UKinstaller on 12/25/2006 13:51:10you have to ground the brake wire, and solder the jumpers together on the bottom of the head unit under the silver sticker. be careful, if you mess up the solder job, your unit will be ruined. take it to a shop if you're not comfortable soldering circuit boards.-UK

kenny414 on 02/17/2007 22:03:32i actually got it. there is a switch on the bottom of the unit where the silver sticker is. just got to switch that and ground the park brake wire to the body and whala... you got your self a unit that lets you use all the funtions while the vihecle is moving.
